LCA
We measure our impact.
LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT
A LCA analysis is useful to plan sustainable solutions, or implement each decisional process during the realisation of a product in order to reduce its environmental impact.
We selected three of the main indicators analysed in the test such as Global Warming, Photochemical Oxidant Formation, Exhaustion of Non-Renewable Resources.
RISULTATI
In atmospheres containing nitrogen oxides (NOx, a common polluter), nitrogen may be created in the presence of UV light contained in sunrays. Despite nitrogen being fundamental in the upper atmosphere as protection from UV light, nitrogen close to ground level can cause various damages, from ruined harvests to higher incidence of asthma and other respiratory illnesses. This indicator is also known as summer smog.
A resource is considered non-renewable when it cannot naturally be replenished. This means that non-renewable resources are limited in supply and cannot be utilised sustainably. Examples of non-renewable resources include: oil, natural gas, coal and nuclear energy.
Su tre principali blend, la comparazione LCA è avvenuta confrontando gli stessi con polimeri vergini, ossia con il 100% della base polimerica vergine, senza l’integrazione con le fibre.
